Problem: Choose an individual or social/environmental level theory (such as Health Belief Model, Social Cognitive Theory, etc.) and explain how you would use the theory to help you design a health promotion program focusing on the use of face masks/coverings in public spaces during a pandemic of a highly contagious airborne infection. The target population is in a midsize mostly farming community (~50K population) in an area where the population is not overly receptive to government regulation of personal behaviour. The community is also a home for several retirement homes and long-term care facilities.
