Title: Ghosts in Gothic Literature (Karen Renner)
Description/Goals: While this assignment at first looks like a traditional literary assignment, it moves beyond asking students to simply perform an analysis of a single literary text, and instead move to make larger claims about the purpose of ghosts in Gothic literature. This assignment also includes a "cover letter" component that asks students to reflect on their writing process.
