Description of leadership in quality management and all of the philosophical components of strong leadership and management from various readings, but like so many institutions, our upper management falls so short of having those who possess leadership skills, that programs such as the CQI, which my facility has promoted for years, proves to be a disappointment in many(not all) cases.
Question 1. What can be done if high levels of administration promote those who echo the rhetoric they are told, and never challenge ideas that do not seem to be working, do not listen to staff when innovation requires spending, waste tons of money on consultants who are not equipped to solve our problems, though they say they can, and adopt patient care models (to save money) that prove to be nothing short of disastrous?
