Part -1

Strengthen the Capacity and Respond to Changing Circumstances

For each supplier relationship use, supplier development activates to strengthen the capacity of the supplier relationship to:
1. Achieve continuing improvements to performance and
2. Respond to changing circumstances

The performance improvements activities you use must be related to: access to technology, cost reduction, improved logistics, and simplification.

Provide as evidences: details of supply development activities and their outcomes.

Evidence for the above requirements may be collected from work that you are currently undertaking or have completed recently (e.g. within one year). Where possible, evidence should be naturally occurring evidence from your usual work: e.g. feasibility studies, presentations, meeting minutes, reports, correspondence and emails, performance reviews, etc. In some cases (particularly where agreements are informal or verbal) you may need to document your work for assessment purposes, or provide verbal clarification to the assessor.

Part -2

Question 1. Work with the selected supplier to reach agreement on the scope and content of the strategic sourcing agreement. Specifically discuss the appropriateness of any three of the following:
a. Joint resourcing.
b. Management arrangements
c. Technical assistance
d. Financial assistance
e. Alignment and implementation of systems
f. Conformance with quality standards and specifications
g. Any other aspects that required discussion or negotiation
Provide evidence of your discussion and decisions.

Question 2. Provide evidence that both parties draw mutual benefit from the strategic sourcing agreement in ALL of the following areas:
a. technical assistance
b. quality assurance
c. long term strategic and capital planning
d. savings in inventory cost
e. utilization of facilities

Question 3. Once the agreement has been established, review it at agreed intervals with the supplier and other key stakeholders. Submit a summary of at least two reviews, each including a suggestion for improving the supply relationship and discus how and when it will be carried out.
