Describing transcendent power

There are people who don't believe in the existence of the Transcendent Power (what theists call God) as they can't prove its existence with anything similar to scientific certainty. However in reality in everyday life we all "believe" (accept as true) lots of things without such proof. Indeed, most of what we suppose to be true, most of what we think we know, we accept on faith. In your own field of study and in your own life, how much information do you accept as true on authority (based on trust), devoid of proving it for yourself with anything even close to the scientific certainty? Give illustrations.
