Describes the vulnerabilities and needs of our emergency

Proposal portion

Minimum of 3 references APA format

The Assignment is a group project requesting a Grant Proposal. In my portion of the paper I have to address:

Statement of Needs - Describes the vulnerabilities and needs of our emergency management capabilities and why we require a grant. One of our classmates (Ivan) summarized this very well: "This is arguably the most important part. We must convince the Council to come up with $50K in order for Virtual to benefit from $1 million from FEMA, over the course of five years, by addressing the NEED.
And

Objectives/Method - How the money will be spent (warning systems, and sheltering systems), to include the specifics of what is being bought, constructed, revamped, etc. Also explains the timeline of meeting objectives.

Below I have a breakdown of some items we will need feel free to refer to the portion one of the group members have put together.

Budget Table

The tornados that plague this city/county had been detrimental to the county's citizens as well as its infrastructure. Then when the natural disaster of tornados happen in this region the claim lives, personal property as well as damage infrastructure. This is why the premise of the budget table was created. Our company has come up with a way to limit some of the problems stemming from the disasters.

The problems that are considered most crucial are listed in this budget plan. The first thing is that the survival of the citizens. Having citizens take shelter in harden facilities such as schools and taking for those that can leave early enough to take refuge out of state. To assist with these needs was have spent some of the money we received for funding on notification sirens for the county. Four of these sirens were placed in the four corners of the county. These will serve to warn citizens on the incoming danger of a natural disaster. The warning sirens are from the Edwards Signaling Company and are picture below courtesy of the company.

Next there was a need to accommodate we need to address was the events before, during and after the storm. Having storage rated for category 5 disasters for food and water along with having generators located in opposite ends of the county. These items are picture below.

These items will sustain the county while rebuilding efforts can commence. Non-perishable food can be stored in the shelter along with water, and cots can help make people start rebuilding quicker a chart with needed data is listed so that the spending can be itemized with quantity, item description, and cost. These items were the most needed and getting the funding to not only purchase these items were important but replacement cost and having funding for growth of the county for new purchases will help the citizens with coping with problems resulting from the disaster. The table below has the detail of the current items required.
