Blockbuster was a classic, present-era example of a company going from boom to bust I a relatively short time. Some say the critical incident for it was when it decided not to purchase Netflix. Whatever, the promotional mix soured, the end result was bankruptcy.
The integration of the mix is crucial. It will hinge on what is being promoted, the wants and needs of consumers targeted, general market conditions and the funds available to them in their promotional budget.
