Your doctoral dissertation must demonstrate original research that solves a problem or answers a question that currently exists. At Symposium you may have researched the literature during the Mastering the Literature workshop or you have done so after Symposium to continue working on your annotated bibliography.
For this homework, write a 2 to 3 page paper that describes the literature that you researched during symposium or after that helps to support your research purpose, problem, or question or that helps to confirm that your research question has not been answered or that the problem has not been solved already. This represents the gap in the literature that your dissertation will fill.While you will continue to refine your problem, purpose, and question after Symposium and over the next year of your program, preparing this document will be very helpful as you continue to work on your annotated bibliography and literature review.
In the RES861 course, you will be preparing your Prospectus, which includes these elements. Starting with this paper, you will have a plan to continue progressing over the next year to be ready for RES861.
Format your homework according to the following formatting requirements:
(1) The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
