Discussion Post: "Looking at the Other Side of the Coin"
I. From the procon org Website, select one topic of your choice and read the Pro section and the Con section on the selected topic.
II. In your own words, summarize the topic: what is the debate really about? What are the two sides of the debate? (Be thorough in your explanations; imagine you are talking to a 10 year old - that's how thorough and clear you need to be.)
III. State your position on the selected topic.
IV. List 3 best reasons supporting both positions in the debate.
V. Determine the biases you experienced in your own thinking as you examined the reasons for and against your position. (Explain the meaning of the term 'bias' as well.)
VI. Describe your reaction to your experience of these biases.
The response should include a reference list. One-inch margins, Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, double-space and APA style of writing and citations.
