Plan and conduct an observation in which you will observe 15 minutes of continuous programming (the program plus commercials) on network television.
Methods: Describe your process of selecting what to observe and your procedure (e.g., did you videotape the programming and review it several times, or record only during live transmission?). What instrument/format did you use to record data from your observations? What categories/types of information did you plan to record? Did you use a coding method (e.g., program or commercial, gender of primary characters, age of primary characters, and race/ethnicity of primary characters)? Were there other ways you recorded information for analysis?
