Problem
It's time for you to be an anthropologist. First, think of a culture that you are a part of, that you could write about. This could be your home, your hometown, your group of friends, workplace, your school, etc. Think of how an outsider looking in would analyze your culture. Then, as you are writing, try to include the strategies of satire: exaggeration/hyperbole, overstatement, understatement, irony.
In at least 3 paragraphs, write a satirical anthropological study on one of the cultures you are a part of.
You may not analyze the United States. That's already been done. ;)
In the end, I will be examining how well you describe your culture from an outsider's point of view. The best assignments will have a high level of satire while also incorporating an accurate description of the culture.
