Review the legal statutes for professional counseling practice in your state. CALIFORNIA
Research ethical and legal issues of public interest in marriage, family, and child counseling.
Present a 10 - 15 minute Power Point presentation on a specific ethical and legal issue in your community. Include the following:
Summarize the issue.
Describe which ethical code it relates to and explain why.
Explain which state legal statutes are applicable and why they are applicable.
Describe a strategy for handling the issue as an LMFT (or professional counselor with the appropriate state license allowing you to engage in marital, couple, and family counseling).
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
1. The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
2. The response also include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
