Describe what the pilot sees


Imagine a spaceship traveling by a stationary space stationg (along x/x' axis), with the pilot at x'=0 and the observer at x=0. The pilot is in the center of the ship, which is dark except for a flashing green light at the front and a flashing red light at the back end. At he passes next to an observer on the space station (x=x'), the observer sees the pilot lit up at the same time by both lights.

A) Describe what the pilot sees as he flies past the space station at the instant of x=0

B) Use the Lorentz transformations to find the time advance or delay of the green light vs. the red light for the pilot.
