Cultural awareness is an important part of counselor development. This will allow you to explore some aspects of your own culture that may contribute to your desire to be a counselor, as well as the reason why cultural awareness is important.
Write a 700 to 1,050 words paper reflecting on your current level of cultural awareness.
Include the following:
1) Describe the cultural identities, values, and experiences that led you to consider a career in counseling.
2) Explain why cultural awareness is important in counseling.
3) Describe the role of culture in how people change.
4) Describe ways to assess a client's perspective on culture.
Format your homework according to the give formatting requirements:
a. The answer must be double spaced, typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
