In Leading Change, John Kotter lists four characteristics of an effective guiding coalition. Examine the example titled "The New and More Diverse Team" in Step 2 of The Heart of Change. Describe the ways that this team illustrates the four characteristics listed in Kotter's book. In addition, discuss how both leadership and management skills worked in tandem to make this team a success.
