Describe two of your experience encountering another culture

Problem

Let's think more concretely about encountering a cultural perspective different from your own and seeing things from that perspective. It's a complicated process, but let's reflect on what's involved and gained.

1) Does thoughtful encounter with another cultural perspective necessarily require changing your own beliefs about something, or your routines? Who or why not?

2) If not, is there simply value in coming to recognize another perspective or cultural practice? If so, what is the nature of that value?

3) Describe two of your own experiences encountering another culture, one in which your views beliefs about something were changed and one where this didn't happen.
