Describe two different "scenarios" which favor evolution of bipedalism in early hominids (see Stanford et al. textbook, pages 242-244) . For each scenario, what were the "advantages" of bipedalism for early hominids(hominins)? If bipedalism provided an advantage, why didn't other ape forms become bipedal; why did other ape forms remain quadrupedal? Please explain.
