Overview
In this homework, you will research and then analyze threats to and the protection of coral reefs, one of the most biologically diverse and threatened ecosystems on earth.
Instructions
Write a 3 to 5 page paper in which you:
i. Explain why coral reefs are important to ocean life, humans, and the overall environment.
ii. Describe three major threats to coral reefs, including an explanation as to why these threats are occurring.
iii. Outline for each threat a strategy to protect the coral reefs (a total of three strategies).
iv. Explain for each strategy the benefits and costs of implementation.
v. Determine for each strategy whether it needs to be voluntary or mandated by local, federal, or international law and policies.
vi. Recommend for each strategy how it can be enforced by local, federal, or international authorities.
Format your homework according to the following formatting requirements:
i) The answer should be typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, with one-inch margins on all sides.
ii) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
iii) Also include a reference page. The Citations and references must follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
