Case Study

Jacinta works for a national company that specialises in baby equipment and nursery furniture. Since opening in 2003, the majority of customers have been new mothers from predominantly white middle-class backgrounds. This is reflected in the organisations workforce which is 95% females who share parenting responsibilities.

Over the last five years there has been an increase in the number of fathers, carers, grand-parents and families from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds seeking supplies. As it stands organisation mission and vision statement reads as follows:

2) Our mission: to support new and expectant parents in providing quality products for their children.
