Describe the type of business

Select a small, local business in your city or area that you might be familiar with that you can use as a "hypothetical client." You own a consulting firm that specializes in employee recruitment and retention.

You have been approached by your "client" to work on this case: A large national firm is planning to move in across the street. Your client is not really concerned with losing customers because they have a very large and loyal customer base.

However, your client is concerned about this new large business luring away its best employees and not being able to attract new employees. You are asked to develop a retention plan.

Prepare a report for your client. Your report should cover the following points. Your report should be at least 3-4 paragraphs. Refer to the grading rubric below. Note: You must use at least one outside resource for this report. Be sure you use parenthetical citations in your text as well as provide the Works Cited at the end.

• Identify and describe the type of business your client is in.

• Outline the information you will need to help your client.

• Identify and evaluate at least four retention strategies to present to your client.

• Identify and evaluate at least four recruitment strategies to present to your client.

• In conclusion, summarize the results that you predict for your client if he implements your strategies.
