Problem:
Describe in two sentences. The situation or issue that prompted me to search the literature is the traumatic mental health challenges faced by military personnel and veterans, particularly Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), as it represents a critical issue within the clinical and cultural landscapes of contemporary society. With an increasing recognition of the limitations of traditional therapeutic approaches, there is a growing interest in exploring complementary alternative methods, including Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) tapping interventions and energy healing practices such as Reiki. This study seeks to investigate the efficacy of EFT tapping as a structured intervention to enhance emotional well-being among military personnel and veterans suffering from PTSD, utilizing standardized emotional assessment scales over an eight-week period within a Tele-Mental Health platform, thereby contributing to the field of interdisciplinary Bio-Psycho-Social research. Furthermore, given the profound relationships between emotion, energy, and spirituality, this research also aims to explore how military personnel and veterans perceive the role of energy healing and mindfulness techniques in their individual spiritual healing journeys. By qualitatively analyzing their narratives, the study will identify emerging philosophical themes tied to concepts of energy, emotion, and manifestation.
