Read Case Study # 21 (Post-Merger Impacts Within a Health and Social Services Centre in Quebec) by Carole Lalonde and Eva Jarosova' in the Case Studies Compendium entitled "Case Studies in Organizational Behavior and Theory for Health Care" by Gloria Deckard and Nancy Borkowski.
Assume that you are the Company CEO or the Overall Organizational Head who has power over the highest-level leader mentioned in the case study that you selected. (If the highest-level leader of the case study you chose is the CEO, assume that you're on the Board of Directors of the company).
How would you advise the managers and leaders of the organization? Create a recommendation plan on how you'd like the issues addressed.
Here are some guidelines:
i. Summarize the main issues. Describe the top issues and the primary people involved in the case.
ii. Analyze the issues. Apply all relevant OB theories and concepts in your analysis. You may use the Case Study discussion questions as your guideline.
iii. Describe your recommendations for solutions. What is the role of the manager(s) and/or leader(s) in the case? Which OB theories and concepts are most applicable? Cite references as appropriate.
