Homework: Human Development
Pick a topic in human development that interests you. Next, find a peer-reviewed, scientific article regarding your topic. The library has excellent resources for this. Go to the database section of the JCCC Library website to peruse PsycArticles and CINAHL (the nursing database). There you will find abstracts describing various studies. Next, obtain the full article. The library may have the journal in its collection. This may be an article describing a study (e.g., an experiment). Then, summarize the article using the following questions as your guide.
• Why did you pick this article?
• In the Introduction section briefly summarize the other research they describe (usually there is a discussion of what has been done before).
• What was the purpose of this study? Why did the authors feel the need for this particular research?
• Describe the research methods used. How was the study designed?
• Briefly describe the authors' findings-the data.
• What were the authors' conclusions? Did they discuss the limitations of their study? How do the findings of their study benefit the topic area?
• What do you think? Was this study well designed? Are their conclusions sound'?
• Make sure you provide an APA-style source citation for the article you are reviewing at the end of your paper.
Format your homework according to the give formatting requirements:
• The answer must be using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, typed, with one-inch margins on all sides.
• The response also includes a cover page containing the student's name, the title of the homework, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
• Also include a reference page. The references and Citations should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
