Select one (1) company that you are interesting in learning about. When selecting a company, look for one that is publicly-traded (e.g. IBM, Apple, Google, GE, Ford, etc.) where you can find the information needed to complete the assignment online. A good place to start is Yahoo Finance where you can get a company profile, company news, list of owners and senior executives, stock prices, etc. You can also choose a company you work for, would like to work or have worked for, if you think you have or can find enough information to answer the questions for this assignment. As you select your organization, review the list of questions that you will need to answer in the three parts of the assignment.
Write a short paper about your selected company that answers the following questions:
1. Describe the primary products or services they offer. What is the company's primary industry?
2. Who are their customers?
3. Explain why you chose the company and what interests you about this organization.
4. Have you bought or would you buy anything from this company? Why or why not?
5. In your opinion what does the company do well, and what can it improve on? Provide an example of each.
