One of the best ways to study leadership is by studying leaders. The personal and professional qualities of leaders indicate the factors that make a person a leader. You will examine one leader's experience to draw conclusions about leadership.
Select a leader whose professional career you know well. You may have directly observed the leader or you may have read about the leader. Consider the experiences of that leader. Identify and briefly describe the leader. Respond to the following questions with reference to your selected leader's experience.
· Describe the personal qualities that make your chosen person a leader.
· Assess the person's leadership using one of the leadership theories in reading.
· Evaluate if the leadership style is effective or ineffective for this person as a leader.
· Include at least one scholarly resource from the library to support critical thinking.
