Strategic objectives and IS/IT architecture
The creation of the World Wide Web started a revolution in information technology and communication. IT has added a new strategic dimension to many companies' marketing campaigns, a dimension that did not exist 20 years ago. Now, in many companies, the IT department plays a critical role in the organization by ensuring that a company's Web page meets its strategic business needs.
In this Discussion, you will consider the organization you currently work in or an organization with which you are familiar. You will analyse the relationship between that organization's strategic business objectives and how IS/IT architecture helps achieve these objectives. Project managers, in order to manage effectively, must align IS/IT architecture with strategic goals.
