Describe the nasw principle in school social work

Problem: Respond in my own word to this post. In school social work, the NASW principle, the core value: Importance of Human Relationships, is applied through the purposeful use of relationships as the primary vehicle for change (Code of Ethics: English, n.d., sec. 3). School social workers develop trusting, supportive relationships with children via consistency, non-judgmental listening, and clear communication about confidentiality and its limits, so students feel safe enough to use assistance. They build ties between families and the school as a bridge when communication is strained, culturally relevant approaches, and helping caregivers participate as true partners in preparing for student achievement. School social workers work at the systems level with teachers, counselors, nurses, administrators and community providers to arrange supports so students do not fall through the cracks, especially in MTSS/RTI processes or IEP/504 preparation. They also promote healthy peer relationships through group work, conflict resolution and restorative practices that repair harm and rebuild trust. Understanding that sustainable success often depends on strong relationships and consistent support across settings, they connect children and families to community resources to create support networks outside of school.
