When writing the essay style question less than three sides of A4 is unlikely to be sufficient and ten sides may be a rambling answer. The marking is on quality and content not volume. Good figures with a brief factually accurate and comprehensive text that refers to the figures is what you should be aiming for. Figures are not essential but I would very much encourage their use here and throughout the degree. In addition evidence of wider reading and referencing of text books or papers forms a small part of the marks scheme.
