Focus of the Business Opportunity Project
Using your business idea from your Assignment, write an eight to ten page project paper that addresses the following:
• OVERVIEW
o Business Introduce your business idea.
o Describe the Business type (new business, franchise, operating business) and include rationale.
o Discuss at least two core competencies proposed for achieving competitive advantage.
• MANAGEMENT SECTION
o Describe the legal structure of your business.
o Present the key owners and members of your management team
o Explain your staffing structure with key positions identified.
• MARKETING SECTION
o Evaluate your business environment, and identify the major opportunities (and threats).
o Assess your target market and positioning strategy.
o Discuss your communication and promotional.
• FINANCIAL SECTION
o Explain the financial requirements for startup or purchase of the business.
o Describe major sources of financing.
o Discuss the budget projections for one year.
Writing the Business Opportunity Project
The Project:
• Must be eight to ten double-spaced pages in length (not including the title and reference pages), and formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.
• Must include a title page with the following:
o Title of paper
o Student's name
o Course name and number
o Instructor's name
o Date submitted
• Must begin with an introductory paragraph that has a succinct thesis statement.
• Must address the topic of the paper with critical thought.
• Must end with a conclusion that reaffirms your thesis.
• Must use at least five scholarly sources, including a minimum of two from the Ashford University Library.
• Must document all sources in APA style, as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.
• Must include a separate reference page, formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.
