Theory Application Project Instructions
The student will critically evaluate the use of and apply health behavior theory in the development of a health science education/health promotion program about a topic of their choice as approved by the instructor.
After the topic is approved the students will be responsible for the following:
- Research the theory or theories currently being utilized in the field to address your topic.
- Evaluate if the theory or theories are being used appropriately concerning the assigned topic. (If they are not being used appropriately, what needs to be changed)
- Develop a rationale for using your selected health behavior theory (or theories) in a health education/health promotion program about your assigned topic
- Develop a comprehensive outline describing how theory can be used with your topic in each step of the program planning process.
