Assignment: Twelve Step Meeting
Pretend to Attend an open 12-step meeting, such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Gamblers Anonymous, etc.
Write a 700 to 1,050 words reaction paper in which you describe your reaction to attending the meeting. Include the following:
i. Identify the type of meeting you attended.
ii. Describe the group members' demographics.
iii. Describe your reaction to the welcome, introductions, and content of the meeting.
iv. Describe the thoughts and feelings you had while attending the meeting.
v. Describe the role of this type of meeting in treatment of a substance-related or addictive disorder.
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
i) The answer should be typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, with one-inch margins on all sides.
ii) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
iii) Also include a reference page. The Citations and references must follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
