Instructions
In this scenario you have recently been hired by a Public Health department in a rural community. The department has never had an Epidemiologist on staff and they are not entirely sure what epidemiology is. Your new boss has asked you to conduct a training session for the rest of the staff to orient them to the field of epidemiology.
Requirements:
The presentation should be visually appealing, geared toward a professional audience, and should include the following sections:
• A cover slide with your name and presentationtitle
• An explanation of what epidemiology is
• A short timeline of epidemiology - The timeline should include important people and events in epidemiological history over the last 100 years.
• An overview of the different types ofepidemiology including environmental, social, community, and forensic
• An explanation/example of how clinical and epidemiological perspectives of a health issuevary
• Links to a least two additional resources that provide information where people can learnmore about epidemiology - Provide the link and a brief description of what the resource is.
