Problem
i. Reflect on Merton's experience at Fourth and Walnut by discussing the following: a. describe the experience and his theological interpretation of it; b. imagine and describe the implications of Merton's experience for one of the following social issues: Interfaith dialogue; economic justice; sexism; incarceration and prison reform; war; racial justice; mental health, addiction; LGBTQIA+ and/or heterosexism; or a social issue of your choice c. describe these implications as they relate to your personal experience.
ii. Explain the doctrine of the Trinity. Discuss the implications of this doctrine on ALL of the following: the Christian commitment to life in community; the limitations of using human language to define God; and Christian views on religious pluralism.
