Describe the example of expository writing

Problem:

Rashawn Ray's essay is an example of expository writing. He poses a complex question, shares with the reader the context of the question and why it's worth asking, and he comes to a conclusion in the end. In essence, the format of an expository essay is to pose an open-ended question and attempt to answer it, using multiple sources and points of view.

Ray's essay is quite short and we'll use it as a way to jump into the existing conversation about systemic racism (a term you may need to look up) and white supremacy.  In respond to Rashawn Ray's question "Is the United States a Racist Country?" by focusing on one or two of his main points.  Share your own point of view, which may include specific details of your own experience or other examples outside of Ray's essay.  Your post should thoughtfully engage with Rashawn Ray's examples and generate discussion.
