3. What are the effects of your disease? What body systems does it affect? How does it affect the overall life function of the patient? What is the prognosis (the likely course of the disease)?
4. What are some statistics you can find about your disease (e.g., prevalence, incidence of new cases, mortality rate, demographic statistics, morbidity rate, birth defects, etc.)?
5. What is the advanced treatment you found associated with your disease? Examine and explain how this advanced treatment can alter the short- and long-term effects of the selected disease or disorder.
6. What is the overall access and cost associated with the advanced treatment you researched? Are treatments only offered in certain states? Are treatments only offered at specific clinics or hospitals? Are there only a select few doctors who can provide this type of treatment?

7. What are the financial, emotional, and physical costs of the treatment on the patient? Look for patient success stories.
8. Where can patients and family members go to access more information on the advanced treatment?
9. Is there new research or techniques that have yet to be passed on to human trials? What is the outlook for the response and/or prevention of the disease or disorder? Are there individuals working for a cure?
