Cyber - crime is new simply because white collar and computer crimes have been around longer than cyber-crimes. Cyber-crimes happen every day and many are over looked and not dealt with. I am in a position where I teach youth about cyber-bullying and how individuals can obtain your personal information. Giving them, this type of information makes them aware of their surroundings when they are on-line, some have even told me that they share this information with their parents. Cyber-bullying is also another big issue, some people take this not so seriously, but I think this issue along with other crimes should be taken more seriously. According to Taylor, Fritsch and Liederbach (2015), "computers are now often used as instruments to make threats or harass individuals. The U. S. Department of Justice maintains a Web site that details a range of threatening behaviors conducted on the Internet." White collar crimes are crimes that are crimes that happen within businesses that deals with fraud.
