Details: Write a 2,000-2,500-word paper that discusses the concept of the kingdom of God through Old Testament, intertestamental, and New Testament writings. Refer to the Topic 2 assignment (The Clash of the Kingdoms) and Topic 3 assignment (The Kingdom of God-Roots and Branches) for the foundation of this paper.
Explain the development of the concept of God as King through the doctrines of the Messiah and the kingdom of God in the Old Testament. Show how various concepts of Messiah and kingdom of God are present in Jewish intertestamental sources. Connect Jesus' teaching on the kingdom of God and the establishment of the kingdom through his ministry, death, and resurrection. Distinguish between the concepts of church and kingdom in the writings of the New Testament Epistles and the Revelation. Discuss how the concept of Messiah connects and unifies the kingdom of God theology in the Bible (including the Intertestamental period).
