Annotated Bibliography on Gun Control.
Research question: How has the implementation of gun control legislation in the United States impacted the rate of gun violence?
The annotated bibliography should define the subject of the research and include at least ten sources.
The annotated bibliography should begin with a research statement, which will include the following:
1) The research question that guided your inquiry for this assignment.
2) An explanation of the significance of your subject and why you chose it.
3) A brief overview of what you learned during your research on the subject.
4) A working thesis statement that identifies your intended audience.
The bibliography should include at least one of each of the following types of sources:
1) A chapter from a book or e-book.
2) A peer-review journal article (use Google Scholar or the Library databases).
3) A reputable news or magazine article (The New York Times, The Atlantic, Pew Research).
4) A multimedia source, such as a YouTube video, a podcast, a Tweet, etc.
Each annotation should perform the following functions:
1) Assess the credibility of the source.
2) Describe the central argument and focus of the source.
3) Suggest the source's usefulness to your research and how you might incorporate it into the next paper.
4) Evaluate the arguments/ideas and record your response/reaction to the source.
