Describe significant social, political, economic, and geographic factors that come to define Indiana in four separate years: 1870, 1920, 1970 and 2020.
1) Social: breakdown the demographics of the residents: Who are they? What do they do? What religion are they? What social structures exist? Are there big cities? Are there suburbs?
2) Political: breakdown the government of that year: Is it a state or a territory? Who is in charge? What political party were the leaders? Were there any major scandals? How did any elections play out in that location during that year?
3) Economic: describe the business and financial aspects of that location, What industries exist there? How are they tied to national economy or global trade? Consider here the why to these questions rather than just listing and describing.
4) Geographic: How did the physical layout of the location determine its society and economics? Describe the climate. Describe the natural resources found in the location. Their significance will change as the years progress. Describe the significant rivers and major lakes.
