Describing and Measuring Adaption-Innovation (KAI), please answer the following:

a. Describe the advantages and disadvantages of problem solving in groups comprised of individuals with: (a) very similar KAI scores; (b) a wide diversity of KAI scores.

b. What is the relationship between A-I cognitive style and the psycho-social variables of age, occupational level, education level, and gender, respectively?

c. What is the internal reliability range of the KAI inventory?

d. Different occupational groups have been shown to exhibit different mean KAI scores (across wide ranges in each case). Provide an explanation of why differences might exist in the group means for different occupations.

e. Explain how more adaptive and more innovative style preferences relate to each of the KAI sub-factors, namely, SO/PO (sufficiency –proliferation of originality), E (efficiency) and R (Rule/Group conformity).
