This activity addresses module outcomes 1, 2, and 3. Upon completion of this activity, you will be able to:
? Module Outcome 1: Discuss the future of terrorism and its effects on American civil liberties.

In the "New Terrorism" technologies are used for the execution of terrorist strikes, as well as by governments to track and mitigate terrorist threats. Given the ever-changing nature of communication technologies and corporate and international cooperation to counter terrorist activities, terrorism continues to threaten security. However, due to the ability to anonymously monitor online traffic, governments have taken liberties that raise ethical considerations when considering civil liberties traditionally held within democratic states.
