Each of the following passages contains at least one of the fallacies mentioned above. For each, describe specifically what is wrong with the logic in the passage, and only then pick a label that fits
a) The Golden Rule must be a sound moral principle because it is part of every ethical system ever devised.
b) We shouldn't hire that fool. He's a complete idiot, a total buffoon. Have you ever known anyone so stupid and vile? What a pig!
c) We should dramatically increase defense spending. I know that those who oppose this idea live under the delusion that our country doesn't need to defend itself anymore, but they're totally wrong.
d) Everyone always acts from their own desires and interests at all times. But if you act only on self-interest, you are selfish. So all people are selfish.
