Public-Private partnerships(PPP) in public health are when government agencies collaborate with a private sector company to finance and implement public health initiatives or programs to improve health outcomes (Rowtiz, 2014). Two management strategies that can be applied to foster PPP's are having clear goals or aligning goals between partners, and consistent communication.

Having clear goals defined ensures that all partners agree the main mission, expectations, and outcomes (Sadeghi, etal., 2016).  Communication that is consistent and transparent is a vital management strategy that fosters trust and accountability (Rowitz, 2024). By having regular meetings to assess progress and make changes proactively instead of reactively will lead to better outcomes for the program.

An example of a public-private partnership is the Vaccines for Children Program. This program is a partnership between private healthcare providers and the CDC to provide free vaccines to children who are unable to pay (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2024). The CDC is the public partner and the participating doctor or clinic is the private partner. This partnership shows how public funding paired with private sector partners can address a public health need ti effectively improve health outcomes. Need Assignment Help?
