Imagine you are a State Maternal and Child Health Director. You know that about 30-40% of school-age children in your state are at risk for poor developmental outcomes due to a variety of family, community, and health care factors. You've been asked by the Governor to develop a public health intervention to reduce the likelihood of poor cognitive, physical, or socio-emotional developmental outcomes for at-risk children. Describe the proposed intervention, including the target population (parents, providers, schools, communities, etc), the developmental outcome it will impact, and any barriers to implementation.
