3D PRINTING/PRINTERS SYSTEM
Purpose: Milestone 2 covers the development. Specifically, elements of a design plan will be created to describe development of the critical system design baselines (system specification, functional baseline, product specification and allocated baseline).
The research paper should adhere to the following guidelines:
Paper format:
• Around 3 pages
• Margin: 1-inch on all sides.
• Spacing: Double-spaced.
• Font: 12 minimum
• Each page must be numbered
• The cover page must include the title, your name, course number, course section, and the date of submission in APA style.
Sources: Be sure to include references in APA style for information supporting processes for developing the system design baselines.
Structure: The paper should have the following elements. This may serve as an outline for your submission.
Introduction: Briefly describe the process of starting with the system requirements and developing the system design baselines. Make sure to highlight the importance of the baselines in the process.
System Synthesis: Design management starts with high level system requirements and must synthesize particular solutions for meeting the requirements.
Discuss the process for developing the system specification and functional baselines and explain their importance in ultimately determining your system solution.
Describe multiple solution concepts including the system described in your first submission and explain why the chosen system is superior.
Subsystem Requirements: Describe the process of developing subsystem requirements for your chosen system.
Make sure to discuss functional, non-functional and interface requirements in the process description. Provide examples of subsystem requirements for your chosen system as illustrations of the requirements flow-down process.
Preliminary Design: Discuss the products that make up the system preliminary design. Describe how you will provide traceability of system requirements using specific examples of system and subsystem requirements.
Reference: In this section, cite any references in APA format.
