Assignment: Non-Fiction Narrative Essay
Non-fiction narrative writing is a way to convey a story or event in order to explain or prove a point. For this task, you will need to reflect on how personal experiences have shaped your literacy development. Literacy refers to reading and writing for the purpose of acquiring knowledge. You will write a narrative essay that draws on your personal experiences in order to illustrate an idea. You do not have to complete any research on the topic. Your evidence or support will be in the form of personal experiences, reflections, details, and examples relevant to the idea that you present.
Note: Choose only one of the following topics for your essay.
a. Narrate an experience you had with a writing or reading task that you found (or still find) difficult or challenging. Explain the significance of this experience.
b. Describe an important moment or event in your literacy development. Explain the significance of this event.
c. Narrate a time when your literacy skills have helped you achieve a personal goal or accomplishment. Explain the significance of this accomplishment.
d. Describe a time when you have used reading or writing to learn in an environment other than the classroom. Explain the significance of this event.
Format your assignment according to the give formatting requirements:
a. The answer must be double spaced, typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
b. The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the course title, the student's name, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
c. Also include a reference page. The references and Citations should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
