1) Include a health behavior theory (e.g., Health Belief Model (HBM), Social Cognitive Theory (SCT), Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), etc.).
2) Be written about an empirical study (not a review study), meaning that it involved the collection of data. Tip: type "empirical study" or "empirical research" into the Advanced Search box, in addition to keywords related to your chosen health disparity topic.
3) Be an article that you expect will be useful in your final paper (i.e., the research article describes an evaluation of an intervention or program that addresses your health disparity topic) (optional).
Ensure your writing demonstrates graduate-level writing and critical thinking. You must provide a complete APA-formatted reference information for the chosen article.
1) Describe the theory that was chosen, including all the constructs.
2) Define the constructs.
3) Explain how the constructs are related to each other and ultimately to behavior.
4) Summarize the research article in your own words-do not copy/paste the abstract.
5) Describe the theory in the research.
6) Describe how the theory was applied to the research.
7) Describe your thoughts and opinions about how the author(s) used the theory (any strengths and weaknesses).
8) Explain the theory's implications for future interventions.
9) Describe the theory's relevancy to other public health issues or topics.
Format your homework according to the following formatting requirements:
(1) The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
(2) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
(3) Also include a reference page. The Citations and references should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
