As you listen to Lonely Woman by Ornette Coleman, Bulbs by Cecil Taylor and Ghosts by Albert Ayler, write down your impressions. Describe what you are hearing. What instruments are playing and how do they sound? Use your own words. Musical jargon is not necessary. How does this music make you feel?
