Cold War-Proxy Wars
You will write a 5-7 minute speech(600-700 words) from the perspective of either the U.S. or the Soviet Union persuading the audience, representatives of either NATO or the Warsaw Pact, to support your side in either the Korean War, the Cuban Missile Crisis, or the Vietnam War. Your writing should be informative and persuasive.

Your speech should accomplish the following:
Describe background of conflict (what is the situation?)
Explain interest in the conflict (why should we get involved)
Discuss what actions are needed interest in conflict (what are you/we going to do if you/we get involved?)
Defend/justify why your reasoning for interference and request for support are valid
