Assignment: Big Data Analytics
Assignment Details:
In this individual assignment, students will complete a big data research project. Students are required to conduct a comprehensive literature search, collate and compile a written report for academic audience.
The research report should include, but are not limited to, the following:
Introduction and Benefits
- Introduce the Big Data concept
- Describe and justify its benefits through a real-world example e.g. healthcare, online shopping, public transportation, national security/anti-terrorism, etc.
Critical Issues associated with Big Data
- Identify and discuss at least three critical issues/concerns associated with Big Data initiative (e.g. privacy, security, etc)
- Support your findings with the existing literature, a table highlighting the critical issues and the related references (authors, year) must be included.
Conclusion and Recommendation
- Conclude the research findings
- Provide some recommendations for future adopters
